Are vegetable oils really bad?

Ah, the great vegetable oil debate! It’s a topic that stirs up quite a bit of discussion in the world of nutrition and health. 🥗🌎 The answer isn't black and white; it depends on several factors, including the type of vegetable oil and how it's used. 🤔🥑🍎 Pros and Cons of Vegetable Oils: Pros: 1. Healthy Fats: Some vegetable oils, like olive oil, contain monounsaturated fats and polyunsaturated fats, which are considered heart-healthy. 2. Nutrient Content: Oils like flaxseed and walnut oil are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for brain health and reducing inflammation. Cons: 1. Processing: Many vegetable oils are highly processed and refined, which can strip them of beneficial nutrients and lead to the production of trans fats. 2. Omega-6 Fatty Acids: Some vegetable oils, such as corn and soybean oil, are high in omega-6 fatty acids. While omega-6 fats are essential, an imbalance with omega-3 fats (too much omega-6 and not enough omega-3) can prom...

The perfect morning routine for a lovely and rewarding day.

For quite some time I struggled creating and finding the right morning routine for me, but luckily, I found it, and after seeing its beautiful results in my life, it's time to share it with you. Honestly, my days are completely different when I follow this routine from when I don't. When I do, I feel happy, optimistic, I perceive my day from a positive point of view and it's way easier to overcome challenges. I'm in a way better mood throughout the entire day.

You don't have to follow this routine exactly as I do. I even don't follow it in the same sequence every day. I let myself choose which activities feel better for me to do that day, depending on my mood and level of energy and body needs. You can do them all, or you can choose the ones you resonate more with. But all these activities are game changers.

The first thing I do is self-love and life appreciation. As soon as I find out I'm awake, sometimes without even fully opening my eyes, I start appreciating life and loving every possible aspect of myself. Without getting out of bed, I start listing in my mind everything I'm thankful for, and everything I love about me, but I make sure I take the time to go through that list mindfully, really feeling the love and the appreciation. The next thing that happens is that I start feeling pleasure, love, a feeling of bliss and satisfaction in my body. It's beautiful. This usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and it's a wonderful thing to do first thing in the morning because when we wake up, there is not much momentum yet, so if we start our day thinking about everything we love and appreciate, what we are actually doing is setting the mindset, the vibration and our point of attraction of that day.

The second thing I do is give and receive love from my loved ones. I go ahead and hug my husband, give him the good mornings, and I text my closet family and make sure that they are awake and feeling good. I go and grab my cat and give him some love and cuddles. With this I'm setting connection early in my day, which, as the social human beings that we are, is essential for our wellbeing. Plus, those hugs and words of appreciation boost our happy hormones.

The third thing on the list is to drink water. I prefer to drink my water at room temperature in the mornings. It is proven that drinking water first thing in the morning stimulates the red blood cells to populate at a faster rate, which in turn boosts the energy levels of the body. It is also good for our skin and hair; it increases our metabolism and boosts our immune system. Drinking water after fasting also helps us lose weight.

Next, I practice yoga or go for at least, 20 minutes walk outside. Both activities relax me a bunch. It helps me start my day with a calm mood and happy hormones flowing through my body. Some of the benefits of yoga are better mental health, increased muscle strength, improves our sleep quality and lower our blood pressure. And walking for just 20 minutes improves our heart health, increases energy, helps us lose weight and my favorite, reduces anxiety and stress. What I like the most about these activities is that they don't take a long time to accomplish. I usually practice yoga for about 10 to 15 minutes, and when I go for a walk, I start noticing an improvement in my mood after just 20 minutes.

After I'm done with yoga or walking, I take a shower and do mindful self-care. I try to take my showers as delicious as possible. I like hot showers and sometimes I put nice music in the back and light some candles or incense. Then I put on my lotions and perfumes and get ready in the most mindful way possible, meaning that I take my time to mindfully take care of and appreciate my body, feeling how beautiful I am, how good I look and how I feel about it.

As girls and women, society has made it hard to love what we see in the mirror. Usually we don't like our body, but despite how we look, we can learn how to love ourselves and this practice has helped a lot to accomplish that.

Next, I prepare a delicious and healthy breakfast. For many good reasons breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day. If we skip breakfast, we are missing out on important nutrients that we don't be able to absorb later on the day. When I have a balanced healthy breakfast, I can control way better what I eat during that day, because I will not be binge eating, it gives me energy and improves my focus and attention. Preparing my breakfast is also an act of self-love, I really enjoy it, and I bet you would too.

Finally, I practice journaling, I check my agenda and/or write an appreciation list before leaving the house to work. Journaling helps me to know myself better, to understand my feelings and emotions and it also gives me a better understanding of what's going on in my mind. Pretty much it gives me clarity, which helps me to take healthy decisions. Checking my agenda helps me to follow a schedule, so that way I can accomplish more effectively my goals for that day. Writing an appreciation list increases my vibration and puts me in a very happy and positive mood.

Bonus:

Two things that really add up wellness in my mornings are self-hugs and prayers. At some point in the mornings, I give myself a hug. I know it might look silly, but it really feels pretty good. When I hug myself, I'm letting me know (my conscious and unconscious mind) that I'm here for me, that I'm proud of me, that I got me, no matter what. Self-love helps us attract what's good for us and what we truly deserve. You deserve your love too.

Prayers take my worries away. Usually I pray to God, but if you are a not religious person, you can send your prayers to the Divine energy, Source energy or The Universe. You can also give your prayers to your higher self if you feel more comfortable like that. Trusting and believing in a higher power, no matter how you refer to It, helps us to have strength in difficult times, pushes us to keep going when it is hard, it gives us hope and lets us feel that we are not alone in this. Is God and us, we are in this thing called life together. I feel more hopeful and optimistic after praying, which helps me face any challenge of the day with a good attitude and a positive point of view.

No matter how you morning routine looks like, make sure it feels good for you. I hope this activity inspires you to build your own and have successful days like I am having now. Thank you so much for reading me. With so, so, so much love, Kharla 💕
